What to look for in an embroidery digitizing service: price, turnaround, file types, and whether a person actually digitizes the art.
An embroidery digitizing service takes your artwork and returns a stitch file. The best ones are easy to understand: you know the price, the time, and the format before you send money.
Ask three things. Does a person digitize the design, or does software auto-trace it? Is the price by size or by stitch count? How soon is the file emailed?
A service built for home sewers
Many digitizing houses write for factories. That is fine if you run a shop. Home sewers and small clubs need something simpler: PES or JEF, a size in inches, and a note if the machine is a Brother PE or a Janome.
